Eurocup 2012

The crowd surrounding me erupts in cries of joy and happiness and for a moment I am swept up with their emotions. I can feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins, racing to my heart, and I want to join in the celebration. 

In a moment, the feeling is gone and I return to my senses. I’m sitting in a garden bar in Budapest, staring at a big screen TV, watching the Germany vs. Portugal game of the 2012 UEFA Eurocup. Germany has just scored a goal and the entire crowd breaks out into cheers and hollers. Its pretty obvious who the Hungarians are cheering for in this match. Football fever has hit Europe, and the whole continent will suffer from this pandemic for another 3 weeks as teams battle for the coveted cup.
