Photo of the Week: Bank of the Danube

This past weekend was glorious here in Budapest. With the high temperature of 25 degrees in the sun, it was like an early summer. I was comfortable enough to go out without any jacket, only a light sweater and I’ve pulled out all my summer dresses.

Sunday was spent meandering around Óbuda and Újpest. The original plan was to get some fish and chips, but somehow that turned into a walk along the Danube and across a bridge (you can see it in the distance in the photo above), some ice cream and then homemade palascintas (Hungarian pancakes). It was the perfect day of just doing absolutely nothing than enjoying the company of good friends and delicious food. It felt like last summer. I can’t wait!
