When I’m teaching, I come across some interesting topics. This week, we were discussing sounds and noises. We listened to an interview by Julian Treasure, about how background sounds and noises affect us. Check out this his TED talk:
I read a lot of blogs. One of my favourite is this one called Fluent in 3 Months. It gives me hope that I can learn Hungarian by the time I leave. This week he wrote a post about why living in the United States may not be so great. I pretty much agree with these points. Its interesting to see it from a European perspective though. Canada is fairly different from the US, but in many aspects its similar. Despite all the similarities when I cross the border, I definitely can tell I’m in a different country.
